OUR COMPANY, HONORED BY THE VISIT OF BASIAD MEMBERS FROM BALIKESİR TO THE FACTORY INVESTMENT WE MADE IN UZBEKISTAN TOGETHER WITH OUR UZBEK PARTNERS.
BASIAD delegation honored our factory in the Samarkand Free Zone, where Savaşlar Industrial Cooling produces panels under the "PANELSAV" brand together with its Uzbek partners, by performing a sacrificial ceremony, accompanied by prayers, and wearing traditional local attire.
June 25, 2019 – Balıkesir/ Our organization in Samarkand, attended by 15 businesspeople from Balıkesir who are members of BASIAD, was held with the contributions of the Embassy of Turkey in Tashkent, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ankara, our Trade Counselors, the Governorship of Samarkand, the Samarkand Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We express our gratitude to these institutions for their contributions.
Our company's General Manager, Selçuk Savaş, along with our partners in Uzbekistan, Timur İsaev and Ali Salmanov, organized and participated in the ceremony. We sincerely thank our Uzbek partners, who wholeheartedly supported the Balıkesir delegation in Samarkand during the opening ceremony.
Our company, Savaşlar Industrial Cooling, crowned its eight years of foreign trade with Uzbekistan by establishing a factory in the free zone. Our General Manager, Selçuk Savaş, expressed great happiness in making an investment in Uzbekistan, noting that they view Uzbekistan differently compared to other countries due to its status as our ancestral homeland, cultural closeness, and the approach of government officials toward businesspeople. Selçuk Savaş stated that they will primarily produce panels under the PANELSAV brand at the Uzbekistan facilities.
The delegation visiting our factory first toured the production facility and met with the employees. The delegation, who received information about the production facility, performed a sacrificial ceremony with prayers, wishing the facility success. A local ceremony was held with participants wearing traditional Uzbek attire.
During the ceremony, BASIAD President Abdullah Bekki said: "I am very proud that an industrialist from Balıkesir has established a production facility in Uzbekistan, thus gaining easier access to new and distant markets. As a result, we see that the income coming to Balıkesir has increased, value-added has grown, and most importantly, the venture we needed during a time of economic difficulties has been realized by gaining knowledge of foreign markets. I congratulate Mr. Selçuk, his brothers, and the Savaşlar company. They have become pioneers in Uzbekistan and distant markets. We hope that new companies from Balıkesir will engage in such pursuits and market diversification. During this trip, we are also pursuing these efforts. It has been an exemplary investment for us and the industry of Balıkesir. May it bring success and prosperity to Balıkesir and our country, increase value-added to Balıkesir, and bring good luck."
