ZERO WASTE SAVAŞLAR CONDUCTED UNDERWATER CLEANING WITH A 20-PERSON TEAM.

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, Savaşlar conducted an underwater cleaning activity in the bays of Ayvalık with a 20-person diving team composed of Savaşlar employees for the "Clean Sea" initiative.

September 23, 2019 – Balıkesir/ Savaşlar Industrial Cooling Company undertook an important social responsibility project related to the awareness of the September 21st Sea Cleaning Day. The diving team, composed of Savaşlar employees, has been increasingly engaged in diving and various social responsibilities related to the Ayvalık ecosystem, the Balıkesir coastline, and underwater environments in recent years.

"Let's not forget what is out of sight"

Savaşlar Industrial Cooling General Manager Selçuk Savaş, who made a statement on the subject, said: "Let's not forget what is out of sight. The Balıkesir coastline and marine ecosystem are treasures. It is the duty of every Balıkesir resident to preserve this wealth for future generations."

General Manager Selçuk Savaş: "Many people in Balıkesir talk about the riches of Balıkesir on various platforms. However, Balıkesir has world-class treasures underwater that are not often discussed or noticed. These treasures are generally overlooked, except by divers.

The Ayvalık Marine Ecosystem is particularly a true treasure. Throughout the year, we planned to take our social awareness towards our seas a step further on the special day of September 21. Our employees are very sensitive about this issue. Many of our employees have received diving training for underwater cleaning. They also dive regularly.
